Job Description

Retail / Warehouse Associate

Anchor Paper Company is an employee owned and family-owned company. We are seeking a Full - Time Warehouse/Retail Associate in our Anchor Express store located in Plymouth, MN . The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm and rotating Saturdays from 10:00am - 4:00pm.

Job Function:

The Express Store Warehouse/Retail Associate is responsible for successful customer transactions in person and on the phone. This position often requires coverage in all areas of the store to include the Warehouse side of the business.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Assists customers with craft and paper related sales and recommendations based on the customer's needs.
  • Responsible for handling cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Responsible for proper use of office machinery to include training customers how to use the crafting tools.
  • Keep shelves cleaned and organized with current or new inventory to include pricing and/or SKU in a timely manner.
  • Work with our internal ERP system to manage inventory, set up warehouse transfers and manage store transactions.
  • Maintain Will Call product to ensure clear communication and organization for employees to ensure efficiency when dealing with customers.
  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems or taking appropriate action with Management to satisfy the customer needs
  • Responsible to open and close the retail store as requested.
  • Check accuracy of; figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
  • Processing Information, Analyzing Data or Information.
  • Loading and unloading of trucks as requested.
  • Code documents according to company procedures.
  • Match order forms with invoices and record the necessary information.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.
  • Assist with daily cleaning duties including cleaning restrooms, sweeping the floor, vacuuming rugs and take out the trash daily.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Previous experience in the paper or crafting industry preferred but not required

Work Environment:

This position works in a warehouse/retail setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, box cutters and tape dispensers.

Preferred Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years' experience in Customer Service setting

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that weigh more than 50 pounds . Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
