We are looking for a talented Virtual Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide real-time interpretation services for K-12 students in a virtual classroom environment. In this essential role, you will serve as a bridge for deaf or hard-of-hearing students, ensuring they have equal access to education, communication, and school activities. Key Responsibilities:
Interpretation Services: Deliver live, real-time interpretation during virtual classes, meetings, and school-related activities to facilitate communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
Foster Engagement: Ensure students are fully engaged with their peers, teachers, and support staff in a virtual learning setting, helping them actively participate in lessons and discussions.
Collaborative Support: Partner with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to tailor lessons and adapt teaching methods, ensuring each student's needs are met effectively.
IEP Support: Work with students to help them achieve the goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), fostering both academic and personal growth.

Qualifications:
Certification: A valid RID, NIC, or equivalent certification in Sign Language Interpretation is required.
Experience: Previous experience working with K-12 students is highly preferred, though not mandatory.
Fluency in ASL: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is a must for effective communication with students.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating and using virtual platforms for remote interpretation, ensuring seamless communication in a virtual setting.
