POSITION SUMMARY: The Tax team has an opening for a Tax Planning Specialist role supporting the Tax Planning group. The candidate will be expected to manage multiple organizational needs and priorities in a calm, professional, and confidential manner. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with strong project management and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will also be a team player who is eager to work with, support and back up team members within the Tax organization. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES: Provide planning support related to tax credits & incentives, business development, reorganizations, and operational planning initiatives within Tax for all business organizations by working with the Tax teams, business segments, and various stakeholders including Accounting, Treasury, Finance, and Law. This will include but not be limited to the following: Completing tax research, including drafting memorandum and reports, as needed; Preparing tax models for transactions; Supporting tax audits by compiling data and drafting responses to various tax authorities; Supporting compliance by liaising with various tax team members to raise awareness of transactions that have or will occur during the year; and Preparing notes, drafting slides, excel workpapers, presentation materials, as necessary, for information sharing, evaluation, or execution of plan. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 plus years of corporate and/or partnership income tax experience required. JD or CPA required. LLM or MST preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required. Proficiency with SAP and CorpTax preferred. SKILLS: Possesses organizational, project management, communication, and analytical skills.
