Job Description

Purpose  

Responsible for managing relationships with adidas contracted players, including scouting and maintaining relationships with both our adidas players and external partners. Drive adidas partners (players) awareness in marketing and sales initiatives, ensuring growth in our share of voice within US category. 

 

Key Accountabilities  

  • Partner with Sr. Manager to help scout next generation players and maintain a database of potential signings
  • Retain key players, working with both agents, schools, managers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain daily relationships with players, ensuring a premium level of service
  • Heavy travel and overtime may be required during peak season, up to 40%
  • Support the execution of category initiatives by placing product buys and forecasting distribution of product based on internal event calendar
  • Manage the merchandise program for all category related partners
  • Leverage internal reporting to ensure accurate and timely execution of activations and meetings
  • Coordinate administrative program operations such as order tracking, forecasting, filing, invoicing, budgeting and related correspondence
  • Coordinate product and styling distributions based on seasonal availability and provide alternate solutions that create opportunities to influence purchasing decisions of the consumer
  • Coordinate with Brand Activation on programs related to advertising and collateral materials
  • Coordinate athlete travel booking and expense reimbursement
  • Assist with the execution of athlete meetings, appearances and retail promotions

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of assigned sport/category
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work across teams and manage priorities to accomplish multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to present effectively to groups, including members of all organizational levels internally and externally
  • Strong Negotiation Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude in fast paced, changing environments.
  • Ability to communicate with people on different levels within and outside the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)

 

Qualifications

  • Four-year college or university degree, emphasis in marketing or business preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for a degree
