Position: FS Dot and Safety Compliance Coordinator Location: Headquarters – Moon Township, PA

Hours of work: Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 Hours/Week

The FS Dot and Safety Compliance Coordinator will work hand-in hand with the Senior FS DOT and Safety Coordinator. Together they prepare and submit all associated Motor Carrier Fuel & Mileage Tax fillings (IFTA/IRP). The FS Dot and Safety Compliance Coordinator will manage and maintain DOT designated vehicle registrations and all necessary special license and permits required by all jurisdictions . The FS Dot and Safety Compliance Coordinator will be the designated Random Drug and Alcohol Communicator for DISA and ASAP consortiums. The FS Dot and Safety Compliance Coordinator will propel employee compliance by training and monitoring existing and all new Field Service employees in regards to safety compliance and all rules and regulations set forth by the (FMCSA) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and all related FS Work processes. The FS Dot and Safety Compliance Coordinator will work with sales and HS&EA to complete Health Safety and Environmental Pre- and Re-qualification packages for new and existing customers in order for Calgon Carbon to maintain an approved safety contractors rating. Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Manage and Maintain DOT Fleet Registrations, Special Licenses and Permits - including apportion plated vehicles, pickups and trailers; title transfers and new vehicle registrations; coordination with fleet service providers and leasing companies
  • Manage and Maintain Annual/Quarterly/Monthly Taxes - IRP, IFTA, and special State-required reporting
  • DOT General Maintenance - manage and maintain fleet roadside inspection citations/violation assuring all associated penalty fees and/or court costs are paid; maintain employee roster and drivers qualification files; audit employee trip reports, vehicle inspections and drivers logs; and train new employees on DOT reporting process
  • Database Maintenance - including FMCSA SafeStat MCS-150, FMCSA DataQ for (Roadside violations and inspections), DOT & Safety Employee Expiring Renewals including customer specific and annual medical examinations
  • Random Drug & Alcohol Program Communicator (DOT & ASAP)
  • New Hire Safety & DOT Orientation Trainer
  • Prepare and maintain Annual OSHA 300 & 300A Forms
  • Prepare and maintain Americas-based Health Safety & Environmental Contractor Qualification questionnaires as they pertain to Field Services
  • Maintain employee medical/drug & alcohol/ and safety files
  • Maintain and update FS safety manual and other written procedures
  • Assist FS Managers and Reps with maintaining and completing customer-specific site access requirements
  • Assist FS Managers and Reps with customer-specific on-site safety audits
  • Work with outside medical facilities and laboratories for annual employees physicals and drug/alcohol testing site locations and coordination
  • Backup to Field Service Work Coordinator
  • Assist manufacturing facilities with DOT compliance 3. Compile site-specific safety manuals from standard Field Service procedures and policies as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
  • Associates degree (A.A.), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred
  • 2-3 years Safety compliance or DOT compliance experience is required
  • Prior safety compliance or DOT compliance experience is preferred
