The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Dentistry seeks applications for a full-time/tenure track position as Chair, Department of Dental Hygiene. We seek a leader who will provide vision and focus to build upon a strong team and advance the mission of the department and college.
Responsibilities for the department include dental hygiene education, service activities, clinical care and research. The chair is expected to provide leadership in strategic planning, departmental curriculum management, budgeting, department staffing and supervision, faculty development, and overall management of departmental activities. The Chair reports to the Dean, College of Dentistry. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated excellence and commitment to team-based clinic education and care, superior interpersonal skills, experience in a leadership role in an academic setting, including organizational, administrative, and management skills, and familiarity with accreditation processes and standards. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
